About Us
Greywater Central is a collective of ecological designers and permaculturists with combined decades of practical, hands-on field experience. Guiding elders in our lineage include Art Ludwig, Laura Allen, Brad Lancaster, Rob Avis, Brock Dolman, and Dave Boehnlein.
Our purpose is to make graywater systems understandable and accessible in three ways:
- Clarifying the underlying patterns behind any and all graywater systems
- Reviewing currently available products
- Linking you to hard-to-find parts and supplies so you can build and/or operate your own system for the mutual benefit of all the interconnected members of the earth community. Rah!
The principals of ecological design apply worldwide. Permaculture is a framework – a worldview, a pattern language – not a prescription. Nevertheless, our own perspective is rooted in where we are in the world, so whereas the patterns we present here are global, we’re coming to you from a generally West Coast North American point of view. That’s where our particular experiences of the patterns are anchored.
